Frequently asked questions
Will the backing track still have the original singer in it?
No — the AI removes the lead vocal (and the harmonies and ad-libs). On a clean modern studio mix you'll hear essentially no voice. Heavily processed or live tracks can leave faint residue.
Can I lower or raise the key to fit my voice?
The tool tells you the song's key and BPM. To actually transpose, drop the downloaded instrumental into a DAW or a free pitch-shift app — a clean stem transposes much more naturally than the full original mix.
How long can the song be?
Up to 20 minutes per track, up to 100 MB per file. A typical 3–4 minute song finishes in about 6 minutes.
Is singing a cover over this legal?
Practicing and recording covers for yourself is generally fine. Releasing a cover commercially needs a mechanical license for the song, the same as any cover — the AI step doesn't change the underlying rights.
What about the backing vocals — can I keep them?
